Highlights

For this Bend home remodel, the goal was to trade cold, dated flooring for a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. We started by removing and hauling away the old tile and ripping out the worn grey laminate.

In their place, we installed a premium Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) that mimics the natural grain of hardwood while offering the durability a Central Oregon lifestyle demands. The result was a seamless transition between all rooms that feels modern, durable, and warm.

Before and After

The Kitchen & Dining area

Before: The interrupted floor pattern of dark solid wood and a cold, dated tile made the kitchen and dining area feel mismatched and aged.

After: By carrying the warm LVP through the entire space, we created a seamless flow that makes the area feel larger. The waterproof LVP will continue to withstand moisture and heavy use in the heart of the home for years to come.

The Great Room

Before: The rustic texture and dark pallette resulted in a dated and somewhat heavy atmosphere that made the space feel less inviting and modern.

After: The room feels more inviting with warm textures and realistic wood grain patterns that give it a high-end look and feel. This new flooring will stand up remarkably well to the demands of daily life, including spills, kids and pets.

The Stairs

Before: The staircase had a contrasting mix of materials and heavy wear patterns on the dark solid wood. This high-contrast combination visually chopped up the staircase and made it feel dark and dated.

After: We turned the staircase into a cohesive focal point by replacing the mismatched materials with a premium LVP. Covering both the treads and risers with this single material created a seamless flow using modern and durable materials that make it feel wider and brighter.
